Sexual Healing; 365 Days of Intimacy: Day 40

Spend 5 minutes with the journal and take 1-3 minutes with the smell exercise.  Today we are going to spend 10-14 minutes lying down on our bed or the floor with our hands clasped on our chest.  Put on a music playlist of relaxing music and focus on breathing and body awareness.

Feel how your body reacts to the surface, how your each inch of your skin feels, the sounds in the room, and the smells.

Sexual Healing; 365 Days of Intimacy: Day 15

So today we are going to explore some more me time. 

We are going to do some meditation so find somewhere comfortable you can sit down and not be interrupted.  Once you’ve sat down close your eyes and think of the first time you met your spouse.  Now don’t think of him/her and think about what kind of person you were then.  What did you like?  What did you enjoy?  What were things you can’t stand?  Keep running through different activities you liked to do or the clothes you used to wear.  What did you listen to for music when you met?  Go through every aspect of your life and examine what it was like to live as you at that time.  

Do you like the you you used to be?  What are you like now?  Ask yourself the same questions about yourself now.

Is the you you used to be a better or worse person that you are now?

Resolve to make yourself better every day so that intimacy can flourish in your relationship.

Sexual Healing; 365 Days of Intimacy: Day 13

Today we are going to wash each other’s hair.  

Make sure to smell how your partner’s hair smells naturally.  What does it remind you of?

Take your time washing their hair.  You have about 5 minutes per partner.  Pay attention to how your partner washes your hair and how you wash theirs.  Be vocal about what you like and enjoy the moment.

Tomorrow: 30 minutes and massage oil/butter/lotion

Day After: 15 minutes

 

Sexual Healing; 365 Days of Intimacy: Day 8

Today pick a time when you were with your partner and you were genuinely, I mean GENUINELY happy.

Tell each other the story of that day and be as descriptive as possible.  What were the sounds, sights, how you felt, and any details that matter.

Take about 7-8 minutes each and resolve to make every day like that one.
